About Our Centre
Established as a training Center for a resource and maritime affairs The Centre is registered as a Limited Company under the Companies Act Chapter 48i Laws of Kenya. The Centre is a maritime institute duly certified accredited by both the Ministry of Education and Kenya Maritime Authority to offer maritime Training to seafarers for the National and Local Labor markets. It awards certificated that meet the requirements of the merchant shipping(Training and certification under International convention on standard on training certification and Watch keeping for seafarers 1978(STCW 78)

COXSWAIN COURSE

The objective to the coxswain course is to equip the trainee with knowledge understanding and proficiency to wok as a coxswain and command a commercial maritime vessel up to 24m in length with propulsion power that in a unlimited for outboard or up up to 500KW of an inboard engine carrying passengers/Cargo Entry Requiement There are no entry requirement for coxswain course however, experience on and around would be an advantage Must be medically fit The trainee should also some basic education, To be eligible for the issue of a certificate if proficiency(COP), Coxswain one must meet requirement of KMA as contained in Kenya Maritime Authority Code and notification including satisfactory completion of approved programme eye, sight and medical tests Course Units Basic navigation skills Small vessels regulation Shot range communication Compasses, Steering and Vessel Basic Engineering

STCW 2010 (STANDARD TRAINING CERTIFICATION AND WATCH KEEPING FOR SEA FARERS

Rating forming part of desk watch (Coc reg 11/4 applicants will be required to have: Have passed KCPE or KCSE examination and Must have served on boadship not less that 500gross tonnage (GRT) for a period of 12 months or more. Duration of the Course 3 weeks Poficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat Have passed KCPE of KCSE examination and Must have served on Board ship in vessels not less than 500 gross tonnage for a period of 12months or more Duration of Course - 3weeks

ASSESSMENT AND EXAMINATION

Candidates are required to pass examination administered by Centre in conjunction with Kenya Maritime Authority. Candidates required to undertake final assessment conduced by the maritime administration approved examiners before being issued with a certification proficiency. Award of Certificate On successful completion of Coxswain course, the candidates will be awarded a certificate proficiency(COP) Coxswain

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) WITH STCW CERTIFICATION

Course Requirements: KCSE Mean Grade: D Minus & Above, Copy of ID, 2 Passport Photos Age Limit: 18 - 50 Years (2months - Training, 2months - Attachment)
